Talkin North Fork Man is a love letter to Kai's hometown of North Fork, the exact center of California. Joining on the mandolin is Orion Cicoletti, his lifelong friend, fellow North Fork Man, and member of folk duo TwoPaperSquares. This is Kai's first official release, and will be available on March 12th, 2026.

Kai Asmund
Kai Asmund is a folk singer and songwriter based out of North Fork, CA. His songs are inspired by the themes of desire, labor, and justice that we all hold in common. Asmund is a community forward musician, hosting the monthly North Fork Songwriters Circle, and recording and promoting local musicians through his project Local Treasures. He also has been feautured on the Foothills Under 30 Podcast, for which he write and produced the intro theme song, and produces all outro music, including his own and that of other local musicians.

I'm very honored to be featured on the Foothills Under 30 podcast, produced by Yosemite Foothills! Not only am I the first guest, but I wrote and produced the opening theme song, and I will be producing my own music and that of other local artists to play at the end of each episode. So happy to be part of such a local and community oriented project!
