Local Treasures aims to amplify the songs and stories of working class musicians, and provide low cost, high quality music to the community. The project provides free promotion to talented local artists by filming and recording their music, as well as hosting live music events to showcase them. Local Treasures is a community first organization, connecting musicians with each other through events like the North Fork Songwriting circle. For now this project is based in the Western Yosemite Foothills, but we hope it can be a blueprint and platform to grow the music community and culture all across the country, decentralizing the music industry and creating a farm to table experience for listeners.
